Kaitlin Ormerod Hutson is a FL-raised and now NJ/NY-based actor and proud cat mom who grew up in the musical theater community in Orlando, FL. She attended Florida State University's School of Theatre where she graduated with a BA in both Theatre and English Literature. She also holds an MFA in Acting from the Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University.

A lover of Shakespeare and classical theatre, she has studied in London twice: once in residence at Shakespeare's Globe Theatre doing coursework in acting Shakespeare, text, voice, movement, historical dance, and stage combat.

In the fall of 2019, Kaitlin originated the role of Eleanor Mills in the world premiere of Thou Shalt Not, a new site-specific play examining the Hall-Mills double homicide of 1922 which was featured by Broadway World. (A remount of the production is scheduled for 2022, the hundred-year anniversary of the crime.)

In 2020 Thou Shalt Not was reformatted as Ghost Hunt, an asynchronous audio geo-adventure where audiences could interact with real locations featured in the story and listen to pieces of it along the way, which was also featured in Broadway World. Also in 2020, Kaitlin wrote and hosted a podcast based on the Hall-Mills story called That's How The Story Goes: A Hall-Mills Podcast, which can be found on Spotify.
